New Trulicity High-Dose Ph3 Study (AWARD-11)

A new Ph3 trial (AWARD-11) evaluating 3.0 and 4.5mg Trulicity has been observed on CT.gov. The trial is projected to complete in Q4 ’19. If no additional trials are required, launch could occur as early as Q1 ‘21 (assuming a full 10-month review).

New Lilly uRAI trials including H2H vs. Fiasp

Two new clinical trials for Lilly’s ultra-rapid-acting insulin lispro (LY900014; also called ultra-rapid lispro or “URLi” pronounced “early” [ur-lee] by Lilly at ATTD 2018), have been observed on CT.gov including a Ph1 H2H PK trial vs. Novo’s Fiasp and a Ph3 study in pumps called PRONTO-Pump.

Xeris completes Ph3 for stable glucagon

Xeris Pharmaceuticals has announced the completion of two Ph3 clinical trials (adults and pediatrics) and one human factors study for its stable glucagon (no reconstitution required). According to the press release, the company anticipates to submit an NDA filing by the end of Q2 ’18.

Invokana CANVAS/R Demonstrates 14% RRR in 3-point MACE at ADA ’17

Results of the CV outcomes trials meta-analysis for canagliflozin, CANVAS and CANVAS-R, were published in the NEJM in conjunction with the data presentation at ADA ’17. A one-hour session reviewed background and trial design including the study population and integrated analysis methods, CV outcomes, renal outcomes, safety, and context.

Lexicon announces additional Ph3 sotagliflozin results in T1DM

Lexicon has announced additional positive data from the Ph3 inTandem1 study. Of note, a slight increase in DKA was seen in the sotagliflozin groups during the extension period with 6 cases (2.5%) on 200mg and 3 cases (1.3%) for 400mg compared to 1 patient (0.4%) on placebo.
