Medtronic Guardian Sensor 3 CGM Now Integrated with 630G

Medtronic has started notifying HCPs that its 630G sensor augmented pump (SAP) with low glucose suspend is now available with the Guardian Sensor 3 CGM. This is the same sensor that is being used with the 670G hybrid closed-loop as well as the standalone Guardian Connect CGM system. Tandem’s t:slim X2 pump approved with Basal-IQ; Medtronic 670G approved for ages 7-13

Tandem announced FDA approval of its t:slim X2 insulin pump with Basal-IQ technology which utilizes a predictive low-glucose suspend (PLGS) feature, curiously with Dexcom G6 rather than G5 as previously communicated. Additionally, FDA has expanded the approval of the Medtronic MiniMed 670G to include children aged 7 to 13 with T1DM.

New Fiasp/Medtronic 670G Study on CT.gov

A CT.gov record for a study evaluating Novo’s Fiasp (faster-acting insulin aspart) in a Medtronic 670G pump has been observed. This Ph4 study is sponsored by Bruce Buckingham’s lab at Stanford, and Medtronic is listed as a collaborator (Novo is not believed to be part of the study). Recall, the Fiasp label does not include designation for use in insulin pumps.
