Novo Launches Insulin Savings Program

With the start of the new year, Novo Nordisk announced the launch of its insulin savings program called “My$99Insulin” as well as authorized generics (AG) of NovoLog and NovoLog Mix products. With the My$99Insulin program, patients are able to purchase “up to three vials or two packs of FlexPen/FlexTouch/Penfill pens of any combination of insulins from Novo Nordisk Inc. for $99.” Recall, Novo first disclosed plans to offer its insulin affordability program in September 2019. New Semaglutide Formulations in Ph2 Pen Trial

A CT.gov record for a new Ph2 trial has been observed comparing FlexTouch (PDS290) to the DV3396 pen as well as two different formulations of semaglutide (“Semaglutide B” and “Semaglutide D”). Omnipod Approved to use Novo’s Fiasp; Senseonics Now Covered on Humana

Insulet announced it has received 510(k) clearance to use Novo’s Fiasp in Insulet’s Omnipod patch pump. Recall, earlier this week, Novo announced it received FDA approval for Fiasp pump compatibility in adult patients requiring insulin therapy. Additionally, Senseonics announced that Humana will now be providing coverage for the Eversense implantable CGM system and insertion procedure (effective October 22, 2019).
